Frank had a tourist brochure description of the Owens Valley and Bishop, but it was silly, so I erased it. Bishop has a good sports store, a decent café and an okay bakery. It's a bit of a hick town: gun racks and NRA stickers abound.

Well, the climbing is good and it's big enough that you don't get too crowded at one spot. We climbed in the Upper Gorge, going from east to west when the sun moved. It will probably be open for another month before it gets too cold to climb. Maple Canyon is probably cold and grey now.
