Redesigning the photolog has been challenging! It took me about 2 months to go from my first version to the interim version (one of Movable Type's styles/templates) to this, the second version of the photolog. I like having this big image! And the subject matter for this entry is so appropriate, it was how I felt the whole time I was doing the redesign...

The bananas came from one of two trees growing in Arnold's backyard. It took them 8 (yes, 8) months to flower, grow, and ripen... It's because of the cool weather here, not exactly tropical compared to other countries closer to the equator. I'm reminded of our banana plantation in Zaria and how it took no time at all for them to grow. We'd have to harvest often, and we'd keep the humongous bunches in the maid's quarters in the back. Then we'd have fried bananas, banana fritters, banana bread, bananas, bananas, bananas!
