No climbing this past weekend; we went to the comp at the gym on Saturday. Remember last year's? This year's was sooo much better! Better turnout, better climbs, nicer gym arrangement. Frank belayed and timed the speed comp while I took pictures. This is just *a fraction* of all the pictures I took. The whole collection is at the Beach City Rocks website, in the blue sidebar.

It was an organized zoo of people! (And the gym-and-body-and feet-smell was pretty strong. You know what I'm talking about!) Ooh, lookee. In the right picture above, there's a seated woman in a pink shirt. And she's knitting!

Iggy stayed until 1am the night before, to finish welding the platform rails. I think this was a big hit. It was a good place to take pictures.

Predictably, the youth men's category provided the most exciting climbs. I mean, here are guys young enough to be *my son* and they climb so well with so much confidence. I was quite impressed. Andy finished 1st in his category, onsighting all his climbs including the final, a 13 route.
