Hiking paths abound! Need I mention, as well, that green is the color of summer?

We checked out Kleine Wacht (Little Sentinel), a little pile of grey limestone chunks. Grosse Wacht is a much better crag.

This is the view from atop Kleine Wacht. We went the long way around with our bikes, only to find tire tracks in the mud at the top, and a group of Vorra men drinking beer and singing traditional songs. This, at 10 in the morning. One of them told us they were preparing for the kirchweih.

Bicycles. On hot days going uphill? Excess baggage. Going downhill? Your best friend.

I didn't really mind getting lost, it was so interesting (to me, at least) to see all these fields of wheat and rye, ready for harvest.
